For When Dating Has You Crying In Your Car

Sep 07, 2026

Maybe you’re in that moment right now.

You’ve been on a date that seemed promising and you haven’t heard back from him yet and it’s been days.

An ex has moved on, a situationship has finally ended, or maybe you’re just exhausted from dating.

From always feeling like you’re back at the starting line, never going anywhere.

Thinking...

Why do I have to be here?

Why does it seem so easy for everyone else?

Is love ever going to get any easier for me?

I know this moment because I’ve been there.
Many times.

I’ll never forget my first Tinder date after my boyfriend of 2.5 years, who had cheated on me, dumped me.

I was 31 and DETERMINED not to ‘waste’ any more time single, so I decided to get back out there WAY TOO SOON.

The date itself was fine. He was nice. We had a good time.

But when I got back in my car to go home, I sobbed.

Ugly cried for what felt like hours.

It just felt so awful to be there. To be single again. To be dating. Back at square one.

I didn’t want to be doing this.

I wanted to be making dinner and cocktails with my boyfriend in tracksuit pants, bingeing a show together.

But this was my life now.

And if you’re sitting in your own version of that moment right now, I want you to know something.

There’s a reason this hurts so damn much.

It’s not because your heart is empty.

It’s because your heart is so full of love, tenderness and devotion.

You care so deeply. You love so deeply.

And right now, all of that love just doesn’t know where to go.

It doesn’t have that place to land.

Sometimes when love has nowhere to go...

It spills out as tears.

I made this podcast episode for this exact moment.

So if dating feels like way too much right now, come and sit with me for a little while. Let me help you come back to love and remember that love hasn’t forgotten you.

Not for a second.

Hit play and have a listen. You'll feel at least a little bit better xx
